How I contribute to Student Motorsport

"Hi I’m James I race in the British Minibikes Championship and contribute technical and riding information on Pit Bike Supermoto Racing.  I got involved with Student Motorsport when studying motorsport engineering at The College of West Anglia.  Having spent several years working in motorsport and trying to find jobs I realised how hard the world of motorsport is to break into.  I believe this project and website is exactly what youngsters who aspire to work in motorsport need."

What I do

James studied motorsport at The College of West Anglia and now works for KLM UK Engineering at Norwich Airport maintaining aircraft.

More about me

James is from Norfolk and grew up around motorsport.  His passion is motorcycle racing and he's interested in most forms of motorsport.  James has a general love for engineering and anything mechanical and became interested in motorsport from a very young age as his dad competed in drag racing.

"I got involved in bike racing towards the end of my school years racing in a small local series called MotoKL on mini motos.  I then went on to help run and organise the free riding experience for kids.  I soon got into the world of pitbike supermoto racing and have just completed my 3rd season in the British Championship with my best season yet finishing 3rd."
