How I Contribute To Student Motorsport
“Hi. I’m Andy Lloyd. I primarily contribute to Student Motorsport by publicising its activities through my website EnduranceAndGT and fully support the aims of the founder of Student Motorsport. I hope that, though my work, I can bring more motorsport professionals into contact with what we at EnduranceAndGT are passionate about and I'm sure that what we contribute will be beneficial to the Student Motorsport members, encouraging them to share their thoughts and expertise."
What I Do
"I'm the owner and editor of EnduranceAndGT, a website and online magazine focused on sports car racing. For 2017 we will be providing news, reviews and insight from the British GT Championship, the European Le Mans Series, the Michelin Le Mans Cup and the FIA World Endurance Championship.
The landscape for motor racing journalism, and indeed communications in general, has changed rapidly over the past few years. Whilst print media is still a very important part of the mix, online magazines, combined with the reach of social media, now means that establishing a global readership is possible in a way that didn’t exist ten years ago.
"My goal is to make my site the premier global sports car news site by the end of 2020, we've got a long way to go but are determined to make the very best out of the website!"
More Details About Me
"I have been a motorsport enthusiast from a young age and, for nearly twenty years, my main racing interest has been sports cars. I attended my first 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1998 and have not missed one since. I was very fortunate to have been offered the opportunity to work at Le Mans in 2013 and was part of the team that entered a Mazda MX5 for the Nürburgring 24 Hours in 2014.
I have always enjoyed writing and have found, in EnduranceAndGT, the perfect way to combine my passion for motorsport within a creative outlet. I live in Kent, twenty minutes from Brands Hatch, and have spent many pleasant summer weekends spectating at that iconic circuit.
I’m looking forward to supporting, and writing about what I am passionate about and supporting Student Motorsport and it's members in the months and years ahead."
